  • 42 hours guaranteed, with overtime paid after 42 hours at £23.46
  • Night Shift Class 1 - Monday to Friday, 7:30 pm
  • Class 2 Monday to Friday - 9:30 am

About the Role

As a Whistl HGV Driver, you’ll be responsible for transporting goods on pre-planned, designated routes.

We operate a collection and injection to carrier model, giving you a more structured and predictable day.

You’ll be representing the Whistl brand, delivering exceptional service with every journey and helping ensure our customers’ goods arrive on time and in perfect condition.

  • As An HGV Driver At Whistl, You Will
  • Operate and maintain HGV vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure the timely and secure delivery of goods to designated locations.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues.

Requirements

• To excel in this role, you should possess

  • A valid Class 1 (Cat C+E) - Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification (the cost of renewals required during employment will be covered by Whistl).
  • Digital tachograph card.
  • Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents and a strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ability to handle physical demands.
  • Good communication skills to quickly understand instructions and liaise effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
