We are looking for talented and hard-working video editors with a track record of making engaging and effective football videos for major sports organisations. Candidates must have a very strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and a burning desire to improve this skillset every day, using analytics to inform their understanding of what makes a successful video. We are after video editors who live and breathe football with a very strong understanding of the major storylines and protagonists of European football over the last 20 years. Candidates must be constantly consuming content and seeking inspiration from content creators and publishers.
What we’re looking for:

- Comfortable cutting sports compilations, match highlights and social clips in a variety of aspect ratios.
- Adept at cutting entertaining interview edits from two-camera shoots.
- A person who is completely locked into digital and social content.
- Regularly watching YouTube content and can take inspiration from this work and apply it to their own edits.
- Understanding how YouTube works and best practices for all types of content for that platform.
- An open-minded person who works well with others and is willing to listen to feedback and advice from several different stakeholders.
- Someone who can track their own progress and deliverables and communicate them to a wide group of stakeholders.
Your Mission:
- Make high-quality sports edits bursting with creativity that provoke strong reactions from your audience.
- Provide industry-leading video content for a major football brand’s channel that helps them to not only meet, but exceed, their strategic targets.
- Become Whisper’s in-house expert on best practices for social video editing, sharing information with junior football video editors and the rest of the football and digital teams.
- Use analytics and trends to improve your edits, dropping your ego and using data insights to deliver perfect edits for the platform.
Please note that responsibilities may be amended, added to, or removed to reflect the changing needs of the production or organisation.
The Skills You Bring:
- Very strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Media management is kept to the highest level of accuracy and detail.
- Mac experience, but also comfortable using PC.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
- Comfortable using project management software and spreadsheets to track and communicate progress on edits and projects.
- World-class football knowledge that you use to inform your research and edits.
- Confident people and communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- A passion for digital and social platforms.
- Constantly watching content on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok and staying close to trends and platform developments.
- Extremely comfortable following workflows and delivering your content to a content management system using metadata.
