Join Whisper as an Executive Creative Director in the Brands Division, working across Sport, Branded, Documentaries, Events & Entertainment. Report to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Whisper is a leading global production company, specialising in sports, unscripted and branded entertainment. Our diverse team of over 270 members work in offices across the UK and beyond, producing top-level sport such as Formula One, UEFA and The Paralympics, as well as branded content, prime-time documentaries and entertainment quiz shows for various broadcasters. In 2023, Whisper won a BAFTA and was nominated for an International EMMY. It is co-owned by Sony Pictures Television and is a Sunday Times Best Place to Work.

We’re looking for a bold and imaginative Executive Creative Director to lead our next phase of brand-driven content innovation. This newly-created role focuses on sparking original thinking, unlocking creative partnerships, and helping Whisper shape standout content that sits at the intersection of sport, culture and storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Whisper into a new era of joined-up creativity to exploit the “power of brands” to fund, distribute and create a series of short and long-form content.
  • Partner with teams across Sport, Create, Docs & Entertainment to drive creativity across pitches and delivery of brand-related projects.
  • Work closely with MD, Create, to develop a new strategy for branded content and add a new creative spark to all pitches and RFP responses.
  • Proactively identify brands that can deliver creative content ideation.
  • Identify new brand opportunities and build a strategy around content partnerships, in conjunction with the Chief Commercial Officer.
  • Work with existing teams to superserve existing clients and identify opportunities to extend our partnerships.
  • Establish a strong working relationship with Head of Docs/Distribution and MD, Entertainment, to tailor projects to maximise potential brand funding and new SVOD partnerships.
  • Partner with Sport teams to develop a slate of new brand-focused content ideas around big events, including the FIFA 2026 World Cup.
  • Build out Whisper’s overall creative brand positioning and communication channels, driving creative workshops and sessions.
  • Support a D2C offer for brand-funded content via YouTube and other digital platforms.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong track record in developing original, brand-led content across short and long-form formats.
  • Experience working with brands or agencies to shape strategic, creative pitches.
  • Excellent storytelling instincts with a collaborative and audience-focused approach.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire creative teams across multiple departments.
  • Commercially minded, with an understanding of brand objectives and value creation.
  • Confident presenting ideas and responding to briefs under pressure.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms, social formats, and direct-to-consumer content.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-profile environments with senior stakeholders.

Location: Kew, London. Working Days: Five-day week, with four days in the office and one day working from home. Some flexibility is required, including occasional weekend work depending on production needs. Lieu days will be given for any additional days worked. Flexitime is available, subject to production requirements.

Contract Type: 12-month contract, with potential to extend or convert to a permanent role.
