We are seeking creative, confident and bold Digital Assistant Producers who have a showreel worth shouting about. We want Assistant Producers with good shooting skills across Sony A7S, FX3 and FX6 cameras, gimbals, and the ability to plan and execute shoots for long-form YouTube content. You’ll also have the skills to edit your rushes into entertaining and engaging YouTube pieces on Adobe Premiere Pro, keeping audiences hooked throughout. Working alongside the social lead and social media managers, you will help to elevate the video content of our client to new levels. This will be content that people stop their thumbs on, talk about and share.
Whisper is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We welcome and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, communities, and lived experiences. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
What we’re looking for:
- An individual with a track record of making brilliant digital and social content for a major brand, preferably in sport.
- Someone with creative production skills who understands how to work with top-level sports talent and has the people skills to get the best out of contributors.
- A videographer confident in shooting on a variety of cameras who can structure a shoot day to capture enough material to create strong 8-10 minute YouTube videos with a stand-out thumbnail, hook, engaging narrative throughout, and the technical ability to deliver on the shoot plan.
- An independent editor, who can see through their creative ideas to delivery, to a standard worthy of a premium YouTube sports property.
- A creative person who can take a 10-minute slot with two athletes and turn it into shareable short-form cross-platform content for social media.
- A team player who understands and follows trends on social media and can use clipping tools such as WSC to create listicles and match clips for publishing on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
Your Mission:
- To make digital and social content that is considered the best that their sport has ever seen, for a new client.
- To be the creative force behind all of our self-shot content. You should be the confident voice in the room that pushes the team and the client to try new things.
- Be bold and try new things. If those things don’t work, be confident enough to learn from the feedback and get better.
Please note that responsibilities may be amended, added to, or removed to reflect the changing needs of the production or organisation.
The Skills You Bring:
- Self-shooting skills on Sony A7S, FX3, and FX6 or similar, including high competence in recording sound and use of gimbals.
- Editing skills using the Adobe Suite, especially strong competence in Adobe Premiere, with preferably a growing skillset in After-Effects.
- The know-how to make content that provokes strong reactions in an audience. You know the difference between ‘good enough’ and ‘industry-leading’.
- You have worked many times with sports organisations and know the importance of building relationships with clubs, players and broadcasters.
- You are a brilliant communicator who can show off your vision internally but also to our client and their clubs.
- A passion for digital and social video. You are constantly looking for new inspiration and comparing yourself with the rest of the industry. You agree that if we stand still, we go backwards.
- If you want to make content that changes the whole perception of a sport, we want to hear from you.
