The Group Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in managing the finance function of the organisation, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and effective budgeting. This position is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day accounting operations, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial insight to support business decision‑making.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the finance team, organising workloads and supporting staff development.
- Lead monthly income statements, balance sheets and key account reconciliations.
- Review and approve VAT returns.
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Coordinate the annual budgeting process and provide regular forecasts to senior management.
- Oversee cash flow management including 12 week cash flow forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including VAT, corporation tax, and others.
- Oversee statutory accounts and lead the annual audit process.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.
- Proven experience in a similar management role, ideally within a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with Netsuite is essential.
- Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
- High level of resilience, with ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks.
