Im seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Baker to join the team at a high-quality, prestigious Members Club. This is a rare opportunity for a motivated baker who would thrive working with the Head baker and working alone at the weekends and someone who takes real pride in craftsmanship and consistency. This probably going to be a Wednesday-Sunday role with a 3:00am start, ideal for someone looking for structure and a strong work-life balance within a refined hospitality environment.
The Role
- Working alongside the senior baker mid-week and alone at the weekend you will be responsible for delivering exceptional bakery items to a consistently high standard.
- You will also support the wider kitchen team during busier production periods.
- Full Viennoiserie production, including laminated doughs.
- Daily production of basic breads to start.
- Mixing doughs to precise and consistent standards.
- Hand-shaping a variety of breads and baked goods.
- Producing sweet, savoury, and bread items through all stages: mixing, proving, baking.
- Ensuring all products are baked to a high, reliable quality.
- Maintaining excellent organisation and time management while working alone.
- Working cleanly and efficiently, keeping all workstations spotless before close.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Baker with at least 5 years experience.
- Confident working independently at the weekends.
- Practical knowledge of bread and you must have Viennoiserie experience.
- Passionate, curious, and enthusiastic about the craft of baking.
- High standards of cleanliness, consistency, and attention to detail.
