We are seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor Assistant to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and positive experience of pupils during lunchtime. You will supervise children in the dining hall and playground, promoting positive behaviour and ensuring that lunchtime is a safe, enjoyable, and well‑organised part of the school day. As a key role model, you will help create a calm and respectful environment where all children feel supported, included, and valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise pupils in the dining hall and outdoor play areas to ensure their safety and wellbeing
- Support the smooth running of lunchtime routines, including managing queues and seating arrangements
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage respectful interactions between pupils
- Help maintain a clean and safe dining environment, including clearing spills and tidying tables
- Support children in developing independence and good social skills during lunchtime
- Respond to minor first aid needs and report any concerns to the appropriate staff
- Supervise children indoors during wet weather as required
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times
- Work flexibly as part of the wider school team
