Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the culinary team. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in a restaurant environment.

Duties

• Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised and tidy.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment efficiently to support the kitchen staff.
• Help with stock rotation and inventory management to ensure freshness of ingredients.
• Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with food hygiene standards.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately.

Experience

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with food preparation techniques is advantageous.
• Experience in restaurants or hotels will be beneficial for understanding the fast-paced nature of the industry.
• A background in hospitality or culinary arts is desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
