We are looking for a confident and proactive BIS Support Officer to join our Behaviour andInclusion Support (BIS) team.

This is a hands-on pastoral role working directly with pupils who may be experiencing barriers tolearning due behaviour, attendance, engagement or other issues. You will manage an identifiedcaseload of pupils, provide regular mentoring and targeted interventions, and build positiverelationships with pupils and their families to help them make positive and sustained progress.

Working closely with our Senior Pastoral Leader, Pastoral Leaders and wider school team, you willsupport pupils within Behaviour and Inclusion Support and help ensure concerns are identified,followed up and acted upon.

We are looking for someone who is confident working with young people, able to build strongrelationships while maintaining clear boundaries, and comfortable dealing with challengingsituations calmly and consistently. You will need to be proactive, use your initiative and takeownership of your caseload rather than waiting to be directed.

Previous experience of pastoral, behaviour, youth work or similar support with young people wouldbe particularly valuable. Experience within a secondary school is desirable, but we are equallyinterested in candidates with relevant experience from other settings who have the skills andconfidence to make a real difference to our pupils.
