About the Role

We're looking for a Trainee Accountant to join our Finance team and support the day-to-day work that keeps us running smoothly. This is a great chance to build your skills in management accounting while working towards your CIMA qualification (Which? will be able to financially support you in obtaining). You'll work closely with experienced colleagues who will help you learn and grow in your role. You will support our Finance team with monthly management accounts, budgeting, and reporting. Does working on meaningful numbers that help shape decisions across the organisation sound like something you'd enjoy?
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting monthly management accounts and helping prepare reporting packs with clear commentary on variances
- Using our financial system to run enquiries, post journals, and complete month-end tasks
- Helping with budgets, three-year planning, and re-forecasts twice a year
- Being a go-to person for general finance queries and helping with training of new starters across the organisation
- Working together with teams across Which? to help join the dots between projects and functions
About You
We're looking for someone with a genuine desire to become a qualified accountant. Do you have strong numeracy skills and an interest in learning more about management accounting and financial reporting?
- You have a university degree (minimum 2.1), ideally in accounting, finance, economics, business, mathematics or a related subject
- You're a confident Excel user who can work with formulas and handle data
- You have strong attention to detail and can manage your workload to meet deadlines
- You have good communication skills and enjoy building relationships with colleagues
