About the role

We\’re looking for a Lead Implementation Analyst to take ownership of our digital data collection strategy, ensuring we have accurate, scalable, and privacy-compliant tracking across all our websites and digital platforms. You\’ll be the technical lead for implementation, overseeing tag management, dataLayer architecture, and cookie consent frameworks that underpin all of our analytics, personalisation, and digital performance reporting.

This role sits at the heart of our growing Business Intelligence function, working closely with digital product squads, developers, testers, and analysts. You\’ll champion the quality and consistency of tracking across platforms, helping the organisation unlock deeper insights into user behaviour, customer journeys, and campaign performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design, governance, and execution of web and app tracking implementation, including dataLayer architecture and event tagging strategy.
  • Manage and maintain our Tag Management System (Google Tag Manager), ensuring a clean, auditable, and scalable tagging setup.
  • Own and implement our cookie consent compliance strategy, ensuring all tags respect user consent preferences.
  • Define tracking requirements in partnership with stakeholders from product, content, marketing, and UX teams.
  • Act as the technical lead for tag implementation during product development cycles, working closely with developers and testers in Agile squads.
  • Monitor and ensure the health of our data collection infrastructure — including error checking, performance impact, and privacy compliance.
  • Provide implementation QA and UAT support for releases affecting tagging or analytics.
  • Mentor junior analysts and build best practices around digital data collection across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with analytics, experimentation, and data platform teams to ensure tagging supports broader business needs.

About you:

You\’ll be a technically capable and detail-oriented digital analyst or developer with a deep understanding of data collection, digital measurement, and tag management systems. You enjoy working cross-functionally and can bridge the gap between technical implementation and business requirements.

  • Proficiency in JavaScript and browser debugging tools
  • A good understanding of cookie consent laws and experience implementing consent logic in tagging environments
  • Experience working in Agile squads or product development environments
  • A passion for clean, reliable data and the ability to proactively identify and resolve implementation issues
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience mentoring or supporting more junior team members
