This role offers a competitive salary, hybrid working, 28 days holiday a year plus Bank Holidays and 11% pension contribution after one year of service.

Salary £57,000 – £62,000 per annum

Location: London/Hybrid (5+ days per month in the office, mandatory on Thursdays)

About the role

  • You\’ll be working in our product, data and technology division – supporting our squads in making sure we deliver value to our half-million members, and help make life simpler, fairer and safer for consumers.
  • You\’ll be using your experience as a delivery manager to achieve great outcomes – typically helping 1-2 squads hands-on, but always coaching them towards increased self-sufficiency as well as contributing to divisional and org-wide initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivery management support for squads – working with squad leads to facilitate a range of planning and delivery activities to improve performance
  • Coaching squads and team members to be high-performing and able to run ceremonies and processes themselves
  • Developing longer-term plans for the delivery of key outcomes and improving the capabilities of our squads
  • Ensuring our teams get all the benefits of agile working practices, but are still able to give confidence to stakeholders about the value they are delivering
  • Reporting on, and developing strategies to improve, our delivery metrics

About you:

  • You\’ll be an experienced agile delivery manager, who has worked across a range of different products, phases and team types, and who has built several resilient high-performing teams.
  • You\’ll be curious and collaborative, wanting to learn more about your craft and about how to help our teams work together on big long-term outcomes
  • You\’ll use data to inform decisions – everything from analytics to financial information to delivery-specific metrics (DORA, velocity, cycle time, OKR confidence), and help encourage this mindset more widely
  • You\’ll be a first-class facilitator, a respected supporter of the teams you work with who helps them communicate with each other more effectively
  • You\’ll have first-hand experience working with all the roles on a multidisciplinary team, but also know how to work with outside stakeholders, including suppliers, where necessary
  • You\’ll have the skills to help teams directly in all sorts of areas, but you\’ll get most satisfaction when the team have learned to do things for themselves
  • You\’ll have great interpersonal skills that you use to help teams tell the best stories to stakeholders, and also to help unblock teams in sustainable ways that improve our organisation overall.

Our interview process usually involves 2/3 stages:

  • Sometimes an introductory chat with a recruiter or hiring manager by phone (typically 30 minutes), followed by
  • An interview on Google Meet (approximately 45-60 minutes) consisting of experience-based competency questions.
  • A separate scenario-based exercise or interview task (30-45 minutes) for successful candidates – based on the sort of work you would typically doing. We will normally send you the brief for this 2-3 days in advance, along with our top-level questions. We will ask you to talk us through your approach, and ask further about your skills and how you\’d apply them in the scenario.
