Senior Business Analyst in Walsall

Salary: £60,838 - £63,890 per annum plus excellent benefits. Location: Walsall, West Midlands. Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week (minimum two days in the office). Closing Date: 17th March 2026. First Stage Interview Date: W/C 23rd March 2026 (Teams). Second Stage Interview Date: 1st – 8th April 2026 (In-Person).

We’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Business Change team working alongside an established team of Business Analysts and Project Managers. In this exciting role you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, undertaking detailed analysis, defining solutions, leading test activities and ensuring the value of change is realised. Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements and Solution Design: Able to solve complex business problems through effective requirement elicitation, analysis, documentation and prioritisation.
• Stakeholder Management: Builds strong relationships across the organisation and project teams, effectively influencing decisions and negotiating priorities.
• Practice Quality and Improvement: Provides effective mentoring and coaching across the Business Analyst team and wider organisation.
• Problem Solving: Navigates large scale, high risk or ambiguous projects logically and structured, demonstrating strong critical thinking skills.
• Business and Technical Understanding: Has a deep understanding of the sector and business domain, collaborating with operational and technical colleagues.
• Project and Delivery Influence: Collaborates effectively with Project Managers and the wider project team across the full change lifecycle.
• Testing: Delivers effective and timely test preparation, including resource identification and planning.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A Business Analysis qualification or certification, such as BCS or IIBA.
• Proven ability to mentor, coach and instantiate best practice across Business Analysts.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with significant experience of analysing complex business problems.
• Extensive experience eliciting requirements through workshops, interviews and collaborative sessions.
• Experienced in benefit identification and engineering using tools and techniques such as FAB.
• Advanced ability to translate business needs into clear solution designs.
• Ability to challenge assumptions and drive informed decision making throughout the project lifecycle.
• Highly experienced in test planning, preparation and execution activities.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Significant experience in identifying, managing and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Knowledge and experience of using project methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Highly competent using Microsoft tools, such as Visio, Project, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience working within the housing sector (desired).
