As a Fire Protection Carpenter (Multi Skilled), you will be required to undertake a wide range of fire safety-based carpentry and multi-trade tasks.
- You will be working to an appointment system via your hand-held device or planner and be expected to be professional, arrive on time and deliver a ‘right first time’ service to our customers. Excellent customer service is expected at all times.
- Working efficiently is key; so you need to ensure you have the materials for the job required and liaising with Stores when necessary.
- This means maintaining van stocks to an agreed level and taking responsibility for the safe keeping of the materials and equipment provided by whg.
- Adhering to all relevant health and safety policies and procedures, including wearing PPE, adhering to risk assessments and work instructions
- Working alongside other Building Safety team to support the remediation and completion of fire safety actions within the timescales set out in the KPIs
Requirements
We\’re looking for someone who has:
- A City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry Maintenance (or qualified by recent and relevant experience).
- Experience of a wide range of Carpentry works, including building, repairs, maintenance, installation and refurbishment.
- Experience of fire safety related tasks;
- Understanding of fire stopping materials and passive protection measures
- Installation and maintenance of fire door sets
- Working under an accreditation scheme e.g. BM Trada
- Experience working in a customer facing role, with excellent customer service skills and the ability to professionally handle challenging customers
