Counsellor Required: Crystal Palace, London Capel Manor College Salary: £29,484-£31,108pa inclusive of London Weighting pro rata Type: Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College as we seek to appoint a Counsellor for our students. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to students with emotional or behavioural issues. Responsibilities include assessing individual student needs and collaborating with students and tutors to suggest targeted support plans and strategies. Additionally, the Counsellor will act as a Safeguarding Officer within the Safeguarding Team, ensuring a high-quality, responsive service to students experiencing welfare and safeguarding issues. Minimum Requirements: Accredited Counsellor qualification Membership with BACP, UKCP, BABCP, or equivalent Experience working with young people Experience with clients from diverse backgrounds Good organisational skills and ability to work independently Understanding of safeguarding practices This is a part-time role, working 21.6 hours per week, term-time only.
