Performance Marketing Manager (Paid Media)
This role is based in Manchester or the surrounding area, hybrid (1 – 2 days a week would be ideal). Full-time, permanent.
About Where Saints Go
Where Saints Go is a family-run e-commerce brand specialising in dining chairs, bar stools and design-led home interiors. We care deeply about product quality, healthy margins and building a brand that lasts. Google Shopping currently drives the majority of our revenue. We aim to scale responsibly, reduce reliance on a single platform and build sustainable, profitable growth across multiple paid channels. Paid media will be brought in-house for the first time, with this role owning and driving long-term commercial impact.
The role
As our In-House Performance Marketing Manager, you will take full ownership of paid media performance across the business, with clear responsibility for revenue, efficiency and profitability. Your primary focus will be protecting and growing performance through Google Ads, particularly Shopping and Performance Max. You will also build paid social into a reliable and measurable contributor to sales over time. This is a hands-on role where you will manage campaigns, make day-to-day decisions and own outcomes, while strengthening foundations such as product feeds, data quality and tracking accuracy to position the business for future shopping behaviours.
What you will be responsible for
Google Ads and Shopping (core priority)
- Owning Google Shopping, Search and Performance Max campaigns end to end
- Improving ROAS, POAS, CPA and overall profitable revenue contribution
- Maintaining strong feed health and accurate product data
- Expanding profitable product coverage while reducing wasted spend
- Testing product segmentation, titles, imagery and pricing logic
- Protecting performance through seasonality, stock changes and pre-orders
- Managing Merchant Centre activity and resolving issues quickly and confidently
Paid social growth (second priority)
- Developing paid social into a meaningful sales channel, not just a traffic source
- Managing Meta campaigns, with scope to expand into Pinterest and other platforms
- Running structured testing across creative, products and audiences
- Understanding longer consideration cycles and assisted conversions
- Reporting clearly on revenue contribution and commercial impact
Performance reporting and optimisation
- Monitoring performance daily and reacting quickly when results shift
- Producing clear, insightful reporting with practical actions
- Working closely with content and creative teams to brief, test and improve ad assets
- Maintaining reliable tracking, attribution and data accuracy
Marketing foundations and site readiness
- Keeping product data clean, consistent and commercially aligned
- Supporting structured data and platform hygiene
- Improving paid traffic efficiency through product page optimisation
- Working with developers when fixes or improvements are needed
- Keeping the overall setup stable, simple and focused on profit
What success looks like
- Stable and growing revenue from Google Ads
- Stronger efficiency and profitability across paid channels
- Paid social generating meaningful sales over time
- Improved conversion on key products
- Reduced dependence on a single acquisition channel
- Marketing foundations that support scale and future growth
About you
- Strong, hands-on experience managing Google Ads and Google Shopping
- Proven experience running and optimising Performance Max campaigns
- A commercial mindset with a clear focus on profit as well as growth
- Confidence owning budgets, targets and performance accountability
- Experience with Meta paid social; Pinterest experience is a bonus
- Comfortable working with longer attribution windows and assisted conversions
- Organised, analytical and proactive, with a test-and-learn approach
- E-commerce experience preferred; Magento 2 experience is a plus
Nice to have
- Experience with Merchant Centre diagnostics and feed optimisation
- An understanding of structured data and product data hygiene
- Basic CRO or product page optimisation experience
- Experience within furniture or home interiors
Why join Where Saints Go
- Clear priorities and genuine ownership of performance
- Direct impact on revenue and business growth
- A family-run business with fast decision-making and no corporate layers
- A brand focused on long-term value, not short-term discount-led growth
- Competitive salary based on experience
