Description Summary: Performs complex assembly operations and leads production teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under minimal supervision, performs substantially varied and complex tasks.
- Applies advanced skills to perform functions of the position within assigned area.
- Adapts new procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet the more complex requirements of the position.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
- Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.
- Orients, trains, assigns, and checks the work of other employees.
- Must be able to distinguish colours.
- Knowledge of production procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports.
- Simple computer literacy.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to meet multiple deadlines while maintaining a cooperative working relationship with employees and supervisors.
- Ability to help motivate and encourage employees to reach their goals.
- May help assist in performance management.
- May assume supervisor/manager’s duties in their absence.

Education and Experience:
- High School w/6+ years’ experience or AA/AS/Technical School w/3-6 years’ experience.
- Certified with J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 Class Standards.
Physical Demands and Abilities:
- Able to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
- Able to stand for entire shift.
- Regularly possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
