Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract Type: Permanent

Wheatley Group is seeking a Strategic Customer Engagement and Communications Lead to lead the development and delivery of a bespoke neighbourhood engagement and communications framework. This pivotal role will align with our Group strategy supporting key objectives for our homes, customers, and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and implementation of a strategic framework for customer engagement and communications across the Wheatley Group
  • Influence strategic direction through structured projects with clear milestones, objectives, and outcomes
  • Develop robust methods for monitoring and evaluating engagement activities using customer insight, feedback, social media analysis, and other key inputs
  • Report findings and recommendations to the Executive Team and Boards to inform decision‑making and drive improvements
  • Champion inclusive engagement and transparent communication to enhance customer satisfaction and community empowerment
  • Deliver tailored, locally focused communications that build trust and showcase the impact of our vision and values
  • Ensure customers and stakeholders are kept informed through multi‑media platforms and newsletters
  • Foster effective partnerships with external stakeholders to support community involvement and influence

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven experience in strategic communications and customer engagement at a senior level
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver complex initiatives
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Outstanding communication and relationship‑building abilities
  • A commitment to inclusive practices and community‑focused outcomes
