About the role
Our Repairs team, based at our Bilston workshop, delivers repairs, maintenance and investment services for customers in Wheatley Homes East properties, as well as for people living in Wheatley’s other subsidiaries in the east of Scotland. We now have a great opportunity for a Qualified Multi-Skilled Operative (Joiner) to join the team. You will be responsible for delivering joinery repairs, as well as general multi skilled repairs tasks in customers’ homes and preparing void properties for letting. We want candidates who take pride in their work and who always strive to go above and beyond for our customers. We are also looking for someone who will help us achieve our targets for response times, right first time and customer satisfaction. You must be able to demonstrate experience in your own qualified trade of joinery as well as damp and mould, window and door repairs, small plumbing repairs, plaster patching, and decoration.
Who are we looking for
The ideal candidate will be qualified to SVQ, City & Guilds certificate level or equivalent in joinery and have the ability to multi skill in other trades. A driving licence and basic disclosure check is required, as well as participation in out-of-hours service. Experience of working in occupied properties is desirable.
