As a Repairs, Investment and Compliance Assistant, you will support the effective delivery of compliance and investment activities across Wheatley Group Stock, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This role focuses on delivering high-quality landlord assurance and customer service, supporting the effective management, compliance, and improvement of housing assets. You’ll contribute to investment and asset management programmes, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards, while maintaining a strong customer focus.
You will have day-to-day responsibility for certain key aspects, including:
- Carrying out inspections and audits
- Identifying and resolving quality issues
- Supporting complaint resolution
- Monitoring contractor performance
- Providing technical advice to frontline teams
You’ll assist with planning and delivering cyclical compliance and capital investment programmes, ensuring value for money and accurate data management. Working closely with senior colleagues, you’ll develop professional knowledge and skills, ensuring compliance with health and safety, regulatory, and organisational standards while supporting community sustainability and customer satisfaction.
We’re looking for a motivated individual who is organised, customer-focused, and able to work effectively within a busy operational environment. The successful candidate will ideally have experience within social housing, property maintenance, or compliance environment. We also welcome applications from recent graduates in the built environment who are looking to develop their career within housing, compliance, and asset management.
You will be able to demonstrate:

- Ability to manage competing priorities and workloads
- Attention to detail and accurate record keeping
- Confidence working with contractors, colleagues, and customers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive approach to problem solving

- Knowledge of planned maintenance or statutory compliance services
- Experience supporting inspections, audits, or contractor management
- Understanding of health and safety and customer safety requirements within housing
- A relevant qualification, or commitment to continuous professional development would also be beneficial
