We are looking for an Applications Engineer / Technologist for our engineering client in Slough. This role is fully onsite and pays 55-65k per year.
Purpose of the role: The Applications Technologist advances both existing and new applications of our equipment to solve customer problems and accelerate adoption. The role spans research and literature reviews; managing and performing on-site practical studies with partners worldwide; and running computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to optimize system performance. It also carries a commercial remit: disseminating technical and commercial insights, helping to prioritize where we invest time and resources, and identifying new application opportunities and market segments that will create the greatest customer and business impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and refine applications for UV equipment across a range of use cases.
- Conduct research and literature reviews to inform application development.
- Perform CFD simulations using ANSYS to evaluate and optimize system performance.
- Lead and execute practical on-site studies in collaboration with global partners.
- Collect, analyze, and present data from trials and modeling activities.
- Develop tools and guidance to support product sizing and specification.
- Identify emerging application opportunities and contribute to investment prioritization.
