Database Migration Engineer – Fixed Term Contract (6mths Initial) – Haywards Heath We are looking for a skilled Database Migration Engineer / Full-Stack JavaScript Developer to lead the complete overhaul and modernisation of our legacy Microsoft Access database infrastructure. Role Overview The successful candidate will own the end-to-end migration process. This includes extracting relational schemas and embedded VBA logic from MS Access, designing a modern target database architecture, writing custom ETL scripts in JavaScript, and developing modern APIs to serve the data to our applications. Key Responsibilities Legacy Analysis: Audit existing MS Access databases (.mdb/.accdb), documenting relational schemas, indexing strategies, complex queries, and custom VBA modules.
