Are you a qualified Carpentry Lecturer or do you have excellent experience in the carpentry industry? If so, this could be the role for you. This is an exciting opportunity for a Carpentry Lecturer to work in an educational setting, sharing knowledge and skills with the next generation to ensure our students are prepared for the world of work and qualified to industry standards.

The School of Construction, at our Hemel Hempstead Campus, is looking for full or part time Lecturers who can use their industry knowledge to help our budding Carpenters excel within practical and theory environments. The successful candidate may be teaching and assessing young adults across Level 1 and 2 qualifications as well as adult part‑time and apprenticeship programmes.

Our Carpentry courses are delivered by tutors with extensive knowledge and professional expertise, working closely with employers to develop students and their own skills. As well as relevant skills and industry‑standard qualifications, we are looking for individuals with enthusiasm for helping people of all ages and abilities to achieve their potential. A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided. Assessor and/or IQA qualifications would also be advantageous and can be gained if you do not already hold them.

The closing date for applications is Thursday 25 June 2026, with interviews likely to take place in the week commencing 6 July 2026. Successful candidates will join the team from August 2026. You will have the full support of a dynamic team and opportunities to bring your ideas to the role.
