Position

Salary: c£26,000

Location: Sheffield / Hybrid remote working

Working Hours: Full Time, Monday‑Friday

Contract: Fixed Term until April 2027

ZOO Digital has a fantastic opportunity for a Localization Project Manager to join our busy team based in Sheffield on a fixed‑term contract until April 2027. The role is hands‑on, involving coordination of translations for high‑profile accounts across media and advertising, liaison with clients and translators, and ensuring quality and timeliness from project start to completion.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring all translation projects managed by the UK & US Localization Teams meet internal and client expectations in quality, budget, and delivery timelines.
  • Continuously monitor and review production processes and suggest improvements that increase turnaround times, reduce costs, or improve client satisfaction.
  • Create translation schedules and assign projects to translators and quality controllers.
  • Troubleshoot and provide support to translators and internal teams throughout the life of a project.
  • Identify, track, manage and mitigate risks of specific client requests, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Keep project management systems—ZOOcore and Echo—up to date with translator information, rates, quality level, and notes.
  • Take full responsibility for the translation & linguistic QC portions of any assigned project.
  • Support the Localization Project Management team with ongoing projects during weekends.
  • Manage the translation capacity of all assigned languages by inquiring about translator availability and updating relevant databases.
  • Manage translators’ performance and provide training and feedback to ensure the highest standard.
  • Provide support to freelance translators on all project‑related items, including creative decisions, answering questions, rearranging schedules, and training on internal tools.
  • Ensure the Project Management, English, and Subtitle QC teams have the relevant project information and proactively communicate any changes that may impact the project.
  • Regularly and proactively provide feedback to the Localization Manager and UK/US Language team on projects to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure project issues are raised promptly and appropriate measures are implemented to minimise risks to deliverables.

Requirements

We are looking for bright and professional applicants with a linguistic background and general understanding of subtitling workflows. A passion for film and TV is essential.
