Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Review Officer for a Local Authority Client in West London. In this role, you will lead and conduct statutory housing and homelessness reviews, provide advice on complex legal and policy issues, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and council procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct statutory housing and homelessness reviews, including temporary and permanent accommodation decisions.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on housing law, policy, and legal challenges.
  • Draft decision letters, reports, and briefings for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, and ensure compliance with statutory deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience applying housing and homelessness legislation, including the Housing Act 1996 and Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
  • Experience handling statutory reviews, appeals, or legal challenges in housing or related services.
  • Experience drafting formal decision letters, reports, and legal documentation.
  • Experience working with colleagues, stakeholders, or legal teams to provide guidance and resolve complex cases.

What's on offer:

  • Salary: Β£29ph may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience.
  • Contract type: 6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week.
