We’re looking for a Workforce Capability Specialist for our public sector client on an initial 12-month contract, paying £59.03 per hour Umbrella (Inside IR35). This is a hybrid role based in Reading with 60% onsite working required.

Key Responsibilities

  • This role combines workforce capability planning, governance, and stakeholder engagement within a highly regulated operational environment.
  • You will be responsible for analysing workforce capability, identifying skills gaps and workforce risks, and supporting leadership teams with meaningful workforce reporting and insight to ensure delivery objectives are achieved.
  • You will work across multiple business functions, engaging with senior stakeholders to support workforce planning, capability management, and resource forecasting across current and future operational requirements.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Workforce capability management, workforce planning, or governance within complex environments.
  • Producing, analysing and presenting workforce reporting, management information, and people data.
  • Identifying workforce capability risks, vulnerabilities and single points of failure.
  • Senior stakeholder engagement across complex operational environments.
  • Interpreting complex data and presenting clear, actionable insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
  • Working with sensitive people data and strong GDPR awareness.
  • SC Clearance or DV Clearance, or willingness to undergo DV clearance.

Desirable Experience

  • Power BI reporting and dashboard development.
  • Workday and Workday reporting.
  • Change management methodologies such as Lean, Kaizen or ADKAR.
  • Experience working within regulated or nuclear environments.
