Join our clients dedicated QSSHE team based in Norwich as an Environmental Advisor, playing a pivotal role in delivering robust environmental support across onshore and offshore producing assets. This critical position ensures compliance, risk mitigation, and proactive environmental stewardship from daily operations through to decommissioning, including projects and drilling activities. Work Monday to Friday in a collaborative office environment, with occasional visits to offshore platforms and terminals. Key Skills Required
- Proven experience within environmental advisory roles, particularly in the offshore upstream oil and gas industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of offshore production, subsea operations, drilling, and well intervention.
- In-depth knowledge of UK environmental regulatory frameworks and how to navigate and influence them.
- Expertise in emissions management, including emissions trading schemes related to offshore activities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey complex environmental matters.
- Proficient in ISO14001 standards and auditing.
- Familiarity with environmental reporting platforms such as PORTAL, EEMS, ETSWAP (or UK equivalents).
- Working knowledge of SCR2015 regulations and SECR reporting.
- Valid BOSIET/FOET certification for offshore travel.
Nice to Have Skills
- Membership of professional bodies such as IEMA or equivalent.
- Experience in NORM management and Regulatory Permitting Systems (RPS).
- Exposure to high hazard industry frameworks beyond oil and gas.
- Background in environmental policy development and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Degree in Environmental Management, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Certified ISO14001 auditor.
- A minimum of 8 years experience in offshore oil and gas or similarly regulated high hazard environments.
Other Requirements
- Flexibility to undertake occasional offshore and onshore site visits.
- Ability to contribute within the Incident Management Team (IMT) and support the HSE budget oversight.
