Contract Electronics Technician | Up to £45ph, Outside IR35 | Norwich
Are you an experienced Electronics Technician looking for your next contract? We have an urgent opportunity with an innovative electronics engineering business in Norwich. Outside IR35, competitive rate and a single-stage Teams interview. The role is available immediately. Interviews are being arranged this week.
The Opportunity
You'll be working as an electronic technician within a busy R&D environment, getting hands‑on with advanced electronics development and testing projects alongside a talented engineering team. It's a genuinely varied bench role, no two days the same.
- Norwich, Norfolk (on‑site) — Up to £45ph - Outside IR35
- 3 month initial contract | Immediate start
- Overtime available
- One‑stage Teams interview - fast process
Day‑to‑day, you'll be:
- Performing PCB rework and modifications (surface mount & through‑hole)
- Soldering and carrying out board‑level electronics modifications
- Building and wiring simple electronics test rigs
- Supporting lab‑based testing and development activities
- Keeping the lab organised and maintaining component/equipment control
- Documenting modifications accurately
- Working closely with Electronics Engineers on live development projects
You'll be a great fit if you have:
- Strong PCB rework and soldering skills - confident and competent at the bench
- Experience in an R&D or electronics lab environment
- The ability to work both independently and in close support of engineers
- A solid grasp of electronics assembly and testing processes
- An organised, proactive, hands‑on working style
- High‑voltage electronics awareness or experience (advantageous, not essential)
