The opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Accountant to join our team. This role focuses on delivering accurate financial reporting, governance, and supporting FCA compliance, especially regarding CASS5 procedures.
Key responsibilities include:- Supporting the development and implementation of our risk and controls framework to identify, manage, and mitigate risks effectively.
- Assisting with regulator requests, audits, and due diligence processes.
- Managing risk events and incidents, ensuring timely resolution of remedial actions.
The ideal candidate will excel in data consolidation, trend analysis, and performance monitoring. They will foster a learning environment for colleagues and apprentices, demonstrating strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:- CASS5 Governance: Ensure compliance with FCA CASS5 rules, provide guidance to internal teams, and review processes for regulatory adherence.
- Statistical Reporting and Data Consolidation: Consolidate data from multiple systems, analyze trends, and produce insightful reports for decision-makers.
- FCA Reporting: Lead the preparation and submission of FCA reports, improving reporting efficiencies.
- Team Support and Development: Support teams in meeting regulatory and financial goals, mentor apprentices, and develop learning pathways.
- Performance Monitoring: Conduct internal audits and testing, monitor performance metrics, and collaborate on workflow improvements.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Experience with CASS5 governance and FCA reporting.
