An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon to join a warm, forward thinking and close knit practice in Basingstoke, a community focused clinic that has proudly delivered outstanding small animal care for over 50 years. Known for its friendly atmosphere and loyal client base, this vibrant practice cares for cats, dogs, rabbits, and a wide variety of small mammals and exotics, offering a genuinely varied and fulfilling caseload.

The practice is purpose built and exceptionally well equipped, featuring two surgical theatres, a dedicated nurse consult room, modern diagnostic imaging including digital and dental radiography, new ultrasound, endoscopy and rhinoscopy, plus a fully equipped in-house laboratory. With Silver Cat Friendly and Dog Friendly accreditation, separate cat waiting areas, and team members holding additional feline qualifications, patient comfort and gold standard care are always at the heart of what they do.

You’ll be joining a highly collaborative and experienced team with diverse clinical interests spanning feline internal medicine, surgery, exotics and ophthalmology, including in-house expertise from an Advanced Practitioner in Feline Medicine and colleagues actively studying towards certificates. Daily rounds, regular in house training and strong clinical governance meetings create an environment where learning, discussion and progression are actively encouraged, with full support for further qualifications.

This part-time role offers a rewarding mix of consultations and surgery, ideal for a confident, team oriented Veterinary Surgeon who values high clinical standards, excellent communication and independent decision-making. Some sole charge Saturday work is required, and an interest in diagnostic imaging, particularly abdominal ultrasound, is essential, with cardiac ultrasound experience welcomed.
