Position Overview: Field Technician at APC Doncaster – a full‑time, permanent role working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The position involves UK‑wide travel and occasional overnight stays.
Responsibilities:
- Visit abattoirs across the UK to maintain systems and equipment, promptly reporting any issues.
- Assist with installation of abattoirs, including dismantling and assembling mechanical components.
- Diagnose faults on equipment used at abattoirs.
- Ensure product quality by conducting thorough investigations and implementing corrective actions at sites.
- Report complaints and any issues to APC and suppliers.
- Adhere to H&S requirements while working on various sites, including overnight stays.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as requested by the Management Team.
Qualifications:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Minimum grade C in GCSE Maths, English, Science, or equivalent.
- Previous mechanical/engineering experience in a continuous process or manufacturing environment.
- Experience and knowledge of TIG welding and diaphragm pumps essential.
- High regard for safety, quality, and compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and proactive, motivated attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
