Job Description

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Sheffield.

We are looking to recruit experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join our team for roles starting in September.

Whether you're looking for long-term placements, day-to-day supply, or a route into a permanent role, we have opportunities across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

As an HLTA, you'll play a key role in supporting teaching and learning, leading lessons when required, and helping pupils achieve their full potential.

The Role

  • Deliver planned lessons in the teacher's absence.
  • Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups.
  • Work alongside teachers to support pupil progress.
  • Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with planning, preparation and assessment where required.
  • The Successful Candidate Will Have HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Previous experience working within a UK's primary school.
  • Confidence leading whole-class learning.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
