Workshop Controller Franchised Motor Dealership - Dagenham area Salary: From £37,700 (depending on experience) + Excellent Benefits Hours: 45 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Controller to join a successful main dealership representing one of the automotive industry's most recognised brands.

Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the workshop, ensuring work is allocated effectively, productivity targets are achieved, and exceptional levels of customer service are maintained.

This role is ideal for a motivated leader who can inspire technicians, drive performance, and ensure the smooth flow of work through the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate work effectively to Technicians to maximise productivity and efficiency.
  • Monitor the progress of vehicles through the workshop and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Liaise closely with the Service Department to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and customers when required.
  • Lead, coach and motivate the workshop team to achieve performance targets.
  • Ensure all incoming work is planned and managed effectively.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, compliance, stock control and Health & Safety.
  • Support the achievement of departmental KPIs and business objectives.

About You

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Workshop Controller or similar role within a main franchised dealership.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Strong technical knowledge and understanding of workshop operations.

Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise effectively.
