Driver Hire Romford is looking to recruit an HGV driver for ongoing work in the RM postcode with a well‑established nationwide distributor. You would be joining an established, leading independent UK distributor. You’ll be the face of the business, providing a professional front‑line service to customers and ensuring the transport and delivery of goods is carried out safely and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Transport goods and deliveries to their intended destinations.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers and other departments.
  • Use your knowledge of the local region to deliver on‑time and safely.
  • Maintain health and safety as a priority in all processes.
  • Perform multi‑drop deliveries.
  • Transport to London destinations as required.

Qualifications

  • Current, valid HGV Driver’s Licence.
  • Minimum 2 years holding an HGV licence and 12–24 months of commercial Class 2 experience in the UK.
  • Clean UK driving licence.
  • Up to date CPC & Tacho.
  • Knowledge of local region.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, and openness to new learning and ideas.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Own transport to get to and from the workplace.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
