Overview: Our clients machine shop comprises of a Milling and Turning team both of which efficiently manufacture a growing order book of high quality, precision products for the aerospace and defence industries. Based at our premises in Romford, you will be working within a clean and friendly environment. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the quality of your work whilst manufacturing products to ensure that all products conform to customer requirements.
Qualifications: With an ONC / HND in Production Engineering, an equivalent Mechanical Engineering qualification or having served a manufacturing apprenticeship, you are a highly skilled CNC Miller able to set and operate our Matsuura 5-axis machining centre, Mori-Seiki horizontal machining centres and Haas VMCs.
Skills:
- Aerospace background with inherent attention to detail and quality rigour
- Demonstrated ability to set any machine right first time
- 4 & 5 axis experience and capability which involves multi datum setting and understanding of complex offsets
- Proficiency with Fanuc controls
- Good knowledge of Matsuura, HAAS and Mori Seiki machines
- Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot machine when faults emerge
- Can do and will do attitude, willing to help and share knowledge
