This position handles day-to-day service issues within an operation. He/She works with hourly and management staff to address process, safety, staffing, and training. This position coordinates the needs and efforts of the operation to ensure customer satisfaction is met. He/She facilitates the smooth execution of procedures and management of systems.

We are now inviting applications for the position of Operation Team Leader. We're offering a full-time, permanent position for an individual who is motivated, reliable, and ready to grow their career. The successful candidate will support the Line Manager to lead, manage and motivate the warehouse team to achieve operational targets and standards in a business where customer satisfaction is critical. Shifts will include: 5 out of 7 days across a working week, inclusive of Sundays, rotational shift pattern of AM and PM. 6am - 2pm and 2pm -10pm.
What you'll be doing:
- Assist the Line Manager with daily operations, providing leadership to the team, and stepping up during the manager's absence to ensure smooth workflow.
- Lead and supervise warehouse team to achieve daily targets.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching and support.
- Ensure adherence and compliance of operational processes within the business and warehouse documentation.
- Conduct regular safety checks and report hazards promptly.
- Promote and enforce company health and safety standards to create a safe and compliant working environment.
- Provide effective communication within operational teams and implement practices that engage employees in line with Musgrave values.
- Coordinate daily tasks including picking, packing, loading, goods in and operation support team duties.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure operational standards are met.
- Ensure all KPI targets related to the warehouse are achieved.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Lead with a Continuous Improvement mindset - identifying inefficiencies and driving change.
What we're looking for:
- Proven track record of maximizing productivity.
- Good organisational and administration skills with the ability to solve problems in a fast-moving environment.
- Show good communication skills and a proactive approach to developing as a leader.
- Customer focused and driven.
- A team player with experience of working to deadlines.
- 12 months experience in retail/foodservice distribution.
- Be computer literate (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Warehouse management system tools).
- Experience working at Warehouse/Operations management/supervisory level.
- Be highly organized with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
- Adapt to changing work schedules and flexible hours when required.
- Be process-oriented with a keen eye for identifying performance trends.
- Brings a proactive, improvement focused mindset to everyday tasks.
