Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer – Birmingham City University

Permanent position located in Birmingham. Working Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm with an on-call rota of 1 in 4 (moving to 1 in 7). Responsibilities include gas maintenance and servicing of 26 university buildings across the Birmingham estate.

Domestic Gas Engineer – Torbay and Devon

Cover domestic gas maintenance across social housing properties in the Torbay and Devon region. Work includes gas & boiler servicing, full services, repairs and pipe installations. Possible temp to perm. Candidates must be ACS qualified, Gas Safe registered, own van/gas analyser, public liability insurance and UK driving licence.

Gas Engineer – Regional Team (Regular Standby Rota)

Deliver first-class service to customers with safety paramount. Work within a regional team with a standby rota. Full UK driving licence required. Callout, overtime and bonus available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on Gas Meter Installations within client SLAs.
  • Engineer solutions on site and focus on first time fix.
  • Understand workload planning and appointment booking with customers to meet required timescales and customer requirements.
  • Ensure accurate data is returned from every job.
  • Manage stock planning and control to ensure availability of all equipment required to complete jobs issued successfully.
  • Possess a good level of commercial awareness and understand the most cost-effective solution of working as a mobile engineer.
  • Work autonomously, always focused on delivering a first-class service with a professional manner.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Gas Engineer.
  • Apprenticeship, or similar qualification, with a recognised certification.
  • MET1, CCN1, CESP1, CMA1 or equivalents are essential.
  • IT literate.
