The Home Finisher (HF) is a qualified multi-skilled tradesperson with an eye for detail. The HF is part of the site team responsible for ensuring that the overall finish throughout the home is of a high standard and in line with our Consistent Quality Approach (CQA), prior to and after the Home Quality Inspection (HQI) has taken place. The remit of the role will be to work on a home from the stage prior to CML to the first customer visit.
It is the responsibility of the HF to ensure that the homes we hand over to our customers are of the highest quality. The HF will do this by supporting both the Site Manager (SiteM) and Customer Relations Manager (CRM). They will use their multi-trade skills to work on the home and remediate certain items which fall below our standards as directed by the SiteM or CRM, in a timely, safe and efficient manner. The HF will assist in programming trades for items that either fall outside of their ability, and/or are covered in the trades scope of works. The HF will also inform the SiteM of any materials required. The HF will contribute to the continuous improvement of the site by reporting back recurring defects to the SiteM and the responsible person(s), including advising of contractor performance where necessary. By working closely with the CRM, the HF will build their knowledge of commonly identified defects (via the HQI) and work to avoid these on future homes.
The HF will also be required to complete certain items from the first customer visit and provide, where possible, on-the-spot defect remediation whilst delivering great service to our customers. HFs may be required to provide emergency assistance later in the Customer Journey.
