Job introduction We are looking for a Transport Delivery Project Manager to join our Transport Delivery team to deliver transport projects in support of the vision and objectives of the Portsmouth Transport Strategy and national transport priorities. This is a full-time role based at the Civic Offices with some hybrid working depending on business needs. Your new role Main Duties and Responsibilities:Implement and follow approved governance process. Confirm feasibility of projects including budget, resources and timeline. Set goals and objectives, defining roles and producing schedules and timelines for tasks. Budget management. Progress monitoring. Identifying and managing risks. Managing relationships with stakeholders. Providing accurate and regular reports to the Board and senior management. Who is the person summary: Have a good level of education including qualifications in Maths and English. Hold PRINCE 2 Practitioner qualification or equivalent qualification or equivalent project management experience Applicants are expected to have demonstrable experience in the following areas: Project and /or Programme Management – lifecycle from brief through to closure, as described in the role details above. Presentation and articulation Managing multi-disciplinary consultant teams and procuring contractors Managing and operating large and complex budgets Developing productive working partnerships with stakeholders Expertise in delivering transport projects is desirable, but not essential.
