We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our Cultural Services team.
The Corn Exchange is not just the biggest venue in the area, it is also the busiest. We put on a whole range of events from the latest bands to children's theatre, from huge corporate events to graduation ceremonies, from classical concerts to raves, weddings, parties and conferences.
The Venue Team are key to the customer experience, ensuring that all of our events are delivered to the highest standards, creating lasting memories of great nights out for all our customers. This role plays a key part in the operations of the venue. You will assist the Venue Officer during events with the delivery of customer and client focused services within the Corn Exchange and Guild Halls.
Working as part of the venues team, you will ensure the successful delivery of events by carrying out event tasks, including venue set-ups, stewarding, bar, cleaning and box office work, responding to and troubleshooting any issues that arise, and pro-actively seeking guidance or support from a venue supervisor or venue officer as needed.
About You:
This job will particularly suit people looking specifically for evening and weekend work. Previous experience of working within a hospitality leadership role is desired. While we're looking for someone to work on the bar and stewarding teams predominantly, working as part of the Venues Team is a dynamic role requiring you to cover all the front of house tasks from time to time, including helping to set-up the venue, assisting the box office and post-show clearing and re-setting. Hours: Zero hours per week, Monday to Sunday, Mainly Evenings & Weekends
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Β£13.47 - Β£14.60 per hour (City Pay Band 2), pro rata for part time. + Enhanced rates for Weekend, Bank Holiday & Night work.
