We have an exciting opportunity to join us here at Cova Insurance as a Principal Pricing Analyst, within our Commercial Pricing Team! In this role, you'll be working in a team where you will be supporting the pricing of SME products, using statistical and machine learning techniques to analyse complex data sets, build predictive models, and uncover patterns to deliver sophisticated pricing structures, address business challenges and discover valuable insights. This role is fully remote, giving you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home. If you prefer the buzz of the office, you're welcome to work from our Halifax or Reading offices whenever you like!

What does a day-to-day look like?
- Maintaining and developing sophisticated pricing models
- Analyse, evaluate, and assess new rating factors and develop pricing structures that utilise them
- Acquire and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the pricing and analysis tools used across the team, including WTW Radar, WTW Emblem, Databricks, SAS Enterprise Guide, SQL, and Python
- Support leaders within pricing and the wider business to deliver business objectives, including driving improvements to risk selection, loss ratio and growth.
- Taking responsibility for managing certain processes and liaising with relevant stakeholders both within and external to the organisation.
- Managing and developing analysts, demonstrating and role modelling the company values and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and agility.

- Experience of predictive modelling and machine learning techniques applicable to insurance pricing
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and intellectually curious

- Adaptable to changing needs of the business in a competitive market
- Experience analysing data using Actuarial or analytical techniques (Desirable)
