Are you someone who enjoys working collaboratively to shape ideas into clear, deliverable change? We are looking for a Portfolio Office Lead who is an experienced project manager with strong business analysis skills and is great at scoping, challenging and refining requests into well-defined proposals.

You will play a key role in setting projects up for success before they begin, ensuring everyone is clear on the outcomes, approach and resources needed to deliver change successfully. You will also be responsible for running a PMO function, so you will need to be organised and efficient.

Key areas of responsibility:
  • Ensure proposals are robust, complete, and supported by clear, evidence-based business cases.
  • Provide senior management with concise, decision-ready information to support portfolio decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional workshops to define and document scope, deliverables, benefits, and requirements.
  • Ensure risks, dependencies, assumptions, and resource needs are clearly identified.
  • Secure cross-functional resource commitment prior to project mobilisation.
What you will bring to the role:
  • Hands-on experience in business and IT project management.
  • Strong financial acumen, able to quantify and articulate costs and benefits for business cases.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present clearly and influence effectively.
  • Strong business analysis capability, including leading cross-functional requirements workshops.
  • Proven ability to influence and challenge constructively to drive better outcomes.
  • Process design and mapping expertise, with proficiency in Visio.

The Benenden Health office is based in York and whilst we do work hybrid, there is a requirement of 2-3 days per week in the office.
