Being part of the Data Centre Team in Networks the role holder plays a big part in this. BT’s core business traverses our Network and Firewall devices – we need to make sure our Network is up, accessible and functioning correctly 24/7 to meet the expectation of our customers. What you’ll be doing • Ticket Planning: - Ability to plan interconnects on relevant ticketing systems i.e. ALGOSEC.• Ticket Implementation: - Ability to Implement interconnects across the BT firewall estate, Cisco & Checkpoint vendors.• Firewall security experience: - ability to discuss and review technical customer issues/deliveries with relevant peer groups.• Accountable for the timely solving and closure of Connectivity issues using ServiceNow.• Accountable for delivering Fireflow ticket allocation and implementation in a timely manner.• Accountable for delivering NAIF/Moscow implementation in a timely manner.• May provide design support and information down streaming on new features and/or Firewall component design.• Diagnose and resolve complex incidents where solution may not be clear or procedure may not exist identified through proactive monitoring.• Drive improvements in working processes.• Where operationally required, participate in out of hours change work and be part of a callout rota to provide 24x7 cover for the platforms.
