As an Engineering Trainer Assessor, you'll use your expertise in Traction & Rolling Stock (T&RS) to support, train, and develop our engineering teams ensuring they have the skills, confidence, and competence to keep our trains safe, reliable, and efficient.
What you'll be doing:
- Deliver high-quality technical and safety training to Fleet maintenance staff
- Support competence assessments and ensure engineering standards are met
- Develop and update training materials within agreed timescales
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects and fleet modifications
- Help enhance technical capability, reducing failures and improving reliability
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with Traction & Rolling Stock
- Strong fault-finding and technical problem-solving skills
- Excellent understanding of rail safety and maintenance practices
- Great communication and organisational skills
- Confident using IT (Microsoft Word, Excel, and analytical tools)
- Trainer Techniques (C&G 7331) or A1 Assessor qualification or willingness to achieve these within 6-12 months
