Job Description Summary As the Manufacturing Engineering Productivity Lead (Power), you\’ll play a key role in driving productivity improvements across three major product families: Power 777X ELMS, Power Gulfstream, and Power Military. It supports design, development, manufacturing, and aftermarket services for leading aerospace manufacturers in civilian and military sectors.Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Delivering Direct Labour Productivity initiatives aligned with the Hoshin Kanri strategy, which constitutes approximately 80% of the role.This aspect of the position is highly self-driven, offering the successful candidate the unique opportunity to identify and prioritise their own projects. As the role is funded through the Hoshin Kanri, the expectation is to deliver productivity improvements that generate returns at least four times the cost of the position. The role provides exposure to multiple international sites within the Aviation Systems business and offers opportunities to engage with senior executive leadership, fostering professional growth and development. Collaboration with the Power Manufacturing Engineering teams to enhance technical problem-solving capabilities. Working closely with local value-stream leadership to ensure productivity initiatives are integrated into their business plans. Strong communicator with an ability to work across, and alongside, production, engineering, and other support functions. Comfortable working independently, defining scopes of work, and delivering projects in accordance with this scope. Experience working withing GE Aerospace\’s FLIGHT DECK model and/or Lean manufacturing methodology (training can/will be provided). Demonstrated ability to deliver medium-to-large scale transformation projects in a technical engineering setting.
