Contract: Full Time | Maternity Cover (Until Easter 2027)

Premier Education Ltd are currently working in partnership with a primary school in the Knutsford area who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to cover a maternity leave from September 2026 until Easter 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school community and take responsibility for a Year 5 class for the majority of the academic year. The school is looking for a teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, maintain high expectations, and support pupils' academic and personal development during this important stage of Key Stage 2.

The successful candidate will be expected to quickly build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents, ensuring continuity and consistency in the classroom.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality Year 5 lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, leadership, and parents/carers
  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • A proactive, reliable, and positive approach to teaching
  • Ability to commit from September 2026 until Easter 2027
  • Ability to provide two references covering the last two years of employment history
  • An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
Pay

£140 - £170 per day minimum (dependent on experience, scale, and responsibilities)
