An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an aspiring leader to join the Senior Management Team at West Herts College Group as Head of Construction at our new state of the art facilities and workshops at our Hemel Hempstead Campus.
The School of Construction delivers a variety of qualifications to students across full time, part time and apprenticeships in Brickwork, Multiskills, Carpentry and Plumbing. In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for shaping the future of our students, ensuring they receive an exceptional education that prepares them for success in the ever-evolving construction industry.
For the post holder, a strong understanding of curriculum development and the strategic aims of further education is essential. You will be responsible for the delivery of a high-quality construction curriculum that enhances the life chances of our learners through critical self-assessment, excellent quality improvement planning and exceptional stakeholder relationships.
You will have the opportunity to develop a construction business plan that considers the diversification and growth opportunities within the further education and construction sectors, fostering new and existing employer engagement. This is an opportunity for the right person to nurture a school culture that supports and encourages staff to perform at their highest level through strong communication and leadership.
Highly effective organisational skills are essential, and the role requires all the attributes to lead, inspire and motivate colleagues to work collaboratively as a team. As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will contribute to the strategic direction of the College and work collaboratively with colleagues across curriculum, support services and external agencies to deliver exceptional outcomes for learners.
