Airtask Group provides bespoke mission-based aviation solutions to Government and Commercial customers. We currently have a requirement for a full-time Head of Training based at our Head Office in Milton Keynes. This role is responsible to the Head of Flight Operations and the candidate must be acceptable to the CAA to hold a Nominated Person position. This position requires travel within the UK and overseas. Candidates must be flexible and able to work from any of our operating bases for extended periods of time conducting regular line flying and training.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Carrying out the appropriate training and checking in accordance with the Operations Manual Part D (Training) requirements
- Ensuring the maintenance of standards of training with special regard for uniformity of standards throughout the Company's operations
- Oversight and strategic planning of crew training in liaison with the company appointed training planner
- Organising, delivering and maintaining standards of necessary training/checking for Cabin Crew
- Identifying, organising and arranging delivery of Cabin Crew and Pilot ground training as required by legislation
- The management of the Company’s Limited Approved Training Organisation scheme, and overall responsibility for Training
- Ensuring that the company remains in compliance with the applicable training requirements
- Responsibility for the contents and amendments of Part D of the Operations Manual
- Use of the company SMS to assess and mitigate risks within their activities
It is essential that prospective candidates have the following skills and experience:
- Holds a valid UK CAA ATPL
- Holds UK Examiner & Instructor Rating or Ratings, preferably a TRE/TRI plus MEP(Land) CRE/CRI/IRI/IRR or equivalent
- Familiar with all UK CAA rules & regulations on flight training
- Experience as either a Head or Deputy Head of Training at a UK ATO
- CAA Class 1 medical
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Right to work and live in the UK
It would be desirable but not essential if the candidate can demonstrate:
- Holds (or has held) BAe146, F406 or DHC-8 Type Ratings or MEP(Land)/SP IR Class Ratings
- Low-level flying experience
- Good working knowledge of Centrik
