FM Conway is looking to recruit a Loading Shovel Operative to join the Aggregate and Asphalt division based in Heathrow. As our Loading Shovel Operative you will be involved in a range of tasks relating to the manufacture of asphalt, including production, dispatch and mobile plant operation. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday 15:00 - 00:00.

The duties of the Loading Shovel Operative role will include:

  • Operating the loading shovel and mobile plant equipment
  • Assisting with the production of asphalt through the loading of materials into the asphalt plant
  • Carrying out daily checks and basic maintenance on all mobile plant as required, reporting any defects accurately and in a timely manner
  • Operating other items of mobile plant, such as a telehandler and MEWP
  • Operating the weighbridge, controlling the dispatching of orders and liaising with the commercial team
  • Carrying out daily housekeeping duties as required
  • Following site health and safety procedures

What skills and experience do you need?

To be considered for this role you must have a full UK driving license and valid loading shovel license. You will have demonstrable understanding of health and safety legislations and ideally will have worked in an Asphalt or similar environment.
