Key Responsibilities for the Fleet Operations Manager role:
- Fleet oversight: You will take ownership of our commercial vehicle fleet - including vans, HGVs, and specialist vehicles - ensuring they are roadworthy, compliant, and ready to go when needed.
- Maintenance and repairs: Scheduling services, MOTs, and inspections; managing breakdowns; and keeping detailed maintenance records.
- Cost control: You will keep a close eye on spend - from fuel and tyres to insurance and leasing - constantly looking for ways to reduce waste and improve value.
- Compliance and safety: Ensuring we meet all legal, safety and environmental standards. Keeping documentation accurate and audit-ready.
- Driver liaison: Supporting drivers with vehicle issues, communicating planned downtime, and making sure they have what they need to do their jobs.
- Supplier management: Working with garages, leasing companies, fuel card providers, and other partners. Negotiating contracts and holding people to account.
- Continuous improvement: We want someone who will challenge the status quo, spot inefficiencies, and suggest smarter ways of working.

- A proven background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain environments (Ideally as a Fleet Operations Manager).
